Espresso Blend Description

There are special coffees, and then there are coffees from El Diviso.

Located near Pitalito in Huila, Colombia, Finca El Diviso has become one of the most celebrated names in modern specialty coffee. Led by brothers Néstor and Adrián Lasso, the farm is internationally recognised for its rare varieties, meticulous processing and relentless experimentation in pursuit of extraordinary flavour. El Diviso coffees now appear on competition stages and in the hands of leading roasters and baristas around the world.

Its reputation is such that El Diviso was recently ranked #5 in a list of the 5 Greatest Coffee Farms on Earth, alongside some of the most iconic names in specialty coffee.

This release is Ají, one of the distinctive varieties cultivated at El Diviso. Ají coffees from the farm are known for their intensely aromatic, complex and expressive character, showcasing the extraordinary results of the Lasso family's approach to cultivation and processing.

Our lot is wonderfully elegant. In the cup we find vanilla, rosé wine and grapefruit - a combination of delicate sweetness, florals and bright citrus that gives the coffee remarkable clarity and complexity.

Like our award-winning Las Flores Java, this isn't an everyday coffee. It's another opportunity for us to bring an elite, world-level Colombian coffee to Toowoomba - the kind of coffee normally found on international competition stages and at some of the world's leading specialty coffee bars.

Very limited availability.

The very pretty art on the coffee bag is by the talented Alexandra Spalding, 23, who moved from Brisbane to Melbourne, Australia, to study Architecture. She misses the tropics everyday...so she paints them! @takeyourmarksgo & @spaldingaling
